I know that people are completely dependent on phones and televisions to pass time and not die of boredom....but hey! I am here to help you out with the problem with some solutions where you can battle against the Boredom monster and still be productive!....It is simple...just match your hobby with the subtitles...so if you are currently having no idea of what to do with your hobby then your worry is going to go away....like 'poof' .....So here we go!
- Reading
- Cooking
- Drawing
- Writing
1.READING :
Reading is a nice way to escape all of this pandemic situation and enter into a whole new world made just for you! If you are already a reader then try new books and try new genres...there is no loss in trying something new...trust me....If you are a person who want to give reading a try then select a book according to your age and select a genre of your most likely preference....this way I am sure that you will most likely be able to continue the hobby without disappointments.
If you are a reader and is facing problems like me...that is a book crisis...since you cant go out and buy any books now or borrow one....then you can definitely start reading e-books online. There are many fellow book reading good souls who have websites where you can find the pdf of the book you want for free. All you have to do for it is search for it. One such website that I found is epdf ( https://epdf.pub/ )
Some readers love to read books and then collect them....like me for instance....if you belong to this category....then you could always spend your sweet time in arranging the books in various different orders. Each order gives you a different feel and in no time you will be reading a book that you have already read in a whole new perspective.
2.COOKING :
Did you know that kitchen is a mixture of a science lab and an art room that is present in every house? If you just love cooking...then be ready for the budding artist and the scientist in you to revolutionise the world of cooking! Do you know how crucial this time can be for a lot of creative thinkers?...And this part of your life...this lockdown is just the thing required to bring all of your creative ideas out.
If you are a masterchef....then try putting weird combinations together...who knows...maybe you will come up with something mind blowing! Here are some examples https://www.buzzfeed.com/jemimaskelley/you-monsters. If you are a beginner chef then try simple recipes that help you to enter the world of cooking with a good head start and a flourish. Here is a website where I found some simple yet tasty dishes' recipe... https://www.indianhealthyrecipes.com/indian-recipes-bachelors/.
3.DRAWING :
Talking about artists...how can I leave out this???? I guess you must not be having much of a problem with this hobby ,do you? If you are still bored with this as a hobby then it is your call from your brain asking you to expand your horizons. Just come out of your comfort zone. If you are already a person who draws landscapes then move onto portraits...if you already draw portraits then try to master it. Maybe a Leonardo Da Vinci or a Picasso is waiting inside you to be woken up!
If you are a person who wants to start drawing in this lockdown period then you can learn from the basics and then move up! Here is a website that I found to be really helpful! https://rapidfireart.com/how-to-draw-for-beginners/.
4.WRITING :
According to me writers are the most creative thinkers there can ever be.....I mean they are literally able to create a whole new world and just transport you there and make you feel like just sticking there!... Just think who are the ones that can create a whole new world! If you are a person who love to write and just lose yourselves into it then obviously there are a lot of ways to use your time for something productive! You could always start writing a journal!! Trust me....the joy of reading your own journal after many years is beyond anything!!
You could always start writing a story! There is always an audience for new budding writers! We fellow readers know how to give a hand to a budding writer!
The next one is blogs! You could always write blogs and let people know your thoughts! This is something that I learnt.....you are writing a blog because you love to write....don't stop writing if you get disappointed that not many don't read it ....trust me I know since I have felt it.....I get how it feels and I also know that it is hard to come over.....just remember that you got less views because all were not fortunate enough to read your wonderful blogs...just to show you the beginning of your rope...blogger is a very nice site to start blogging!
If you are a writer with more of an inclination towards poetry then what are you even waiting for??? No matter what language or topic it is... poem is a poem and it is always beautiful! All that you have to do is just bring out your crazy poet and don't hold him back. Here are some ideas for a kick start https://www.creative-writing-now.com/poem-starters.html .
People who love movies and writing could always write screenplays for stories that you know. It will be a good practise and it is really fun! Trust me...all those imaginations....out of the world!
Since it is going out to be a long post I have decided to cut it down into parts so that reading it wont be boring...I mean come on....nobody likes a long post! so....just know that there will be yet another post with a lot of crazy yet nice and productive hobbies!....SEE YA!!
