When it comes to pets, there are usually three types of people....the ones who hates pets, the one who loves cats and the one who loves dogs. There are also people who love to have fishes, birds, reptiles and insects as pets....however...the debate of being a 'cat person' or a 'dog person' has been going on and on for a long time. Now it is time to compare them both and figure out which one is a better pet.
1. DOGS :
I guess I don't really have to debate about dog's looks since we already have an issue of 'cuteness overload' in here! In short, dogs are always adorable!!!
TRAINING :
Dogs are one of the intelligent creatures that can be trained. They hardly cause a mess when trained and the process of training many dogs is not too hard too.
MAINTENANCE :
Usually cost of maintenance for dogs is pretty hard on the pockets. If anything goes wrong with the health, or for a surgery or anything of that sort.....you got to kiss your month's salary goodbye. Also dogs can hardly be left alone in a house for a weekend...so if you are leaving somewhere for the weekend...better leave someone to take care of it.
PROTECTOR :
Dogs are definitely the modern age guardian angels...though the thought of a dog with a white frock and a pair of wings seems funny....they do protect their owner even when their life's at stake!!
COMPANION :
Dogs are great companions. in fact....dogs are used to lift up the moods of depressed patients in many therapy centres! People who are seeking a good friend will definitely find dogs as a boon!
2. CATS :
LOOKS :

Well, I am officially announcing a tie between cats and dogs for cuteness! I don't understand how an animal can be this cute!!
TRAINING :
Cats cant really be trained as per our will. They are pretty determined and self-willed creatures. They are natural hunters that catch mice and lizard and bring them home....it might sound gross...but hey...your house will be free of any live mouse or lizard!
MAINTENANCE :
Unlike dogs...cats have the ability to clean and entertain themselves. You can definitely leave them alone in your home for a weekend without anybody to look after them...just make sure that you don't put them alone with their favourite furniture to scratch....yep...that's right....cats love scratching things. Apart from that the vet will cost you almost the same as of the dogs. Moreover, cats don't require as much space as dogs do!
COMPANION :
Cats are known to be cuddly, entertaining and affectionate. They might not exactly be kid friendly since it might scratch out of frustration. But still...it will do its best to keep you loved!
So....the conclusion....personally I think that the choice between dogs and cats is based on not the behaviour of that particular creature but the character of us. If you are an introvert person who would love to have a companion who doesn't disturb you much, then you can definitely go for a cat since they don't require daily walks, they might lessen your number of visitors since many are allergic to cats also as I told, cats can keep themselves entertained pretty well. If you are a person looking for a companion to be a part of your life and keep you happy and make you feel wanted....you can definitely opt for a dog. They are the best companions for people who are depressed or isolated or for the ones who feel lonely. It is ideal for single kids! After talking this much about cats and dogs, I cant conclude this post without coming to a conclusion for myself. Well...personally...I am a 'dog person'.....so...I hope that even you can figure out what you are with this blog.....SEE YA!

DeleteThink a dog does more staff than other pet animals do.And I have a conclusion that dogs r the better and perfect pet for those who need a better companion who stays for away from there families and those who feel alone.
ReplyDeleteYou of course have my support on your opinion...and your conclusion is definitely reasonable!.... :)
