Zoos are one of the places that kids just love to go to, please don't ask me why they just love it...maybe it is just the excitement of seeing something different yet alive. Maybe they just love watching monkeys which is so similar to us....But...do you think the animals love being in there just as much as we love to watch them? Do you think zoos are ran based on mutual concern?
Most of the people to whom I have talked about this issue either thought that it is silly or never really gave much of thought to it. To be true I even wrote about this opinion of mine in one of my exam paper's and was given a score lesser than what I usually get, because it was thought to be impractical. Anyway, I obviously was not able to resist myself from writing about this topic in my very own blog.
So, lets imagine this, you are given a house which meets all your requirements. Now, the person who gave you the house told you to live your life happily ever after but not go out. The same person now opens a booth outside and gives tickets o the ones who want to see your way of live. Also....remember that the act of selling tickets is not with your concern and the person who gave you the place thinks that he has the right to do so. Now you are trapped there no matter what, forever. How will you feel??
Just because the animals are void of one or two senses it does not mean that we have the right to push them around as much as we want! First of all we have to understand that even though they are seen as just animals....there is definitely no proof that they don't have feelings.....what if they really do have feelings and they are really feeling tortured and are just trained to be happy?
I know that it definitely feels crazy by hearing to a thought like this....but giving it a thought is not going to cost you anything! Let us all give this a thought.....SEE YA.....
