Under-rated YA (Young Adult)novels

To be read during the lockdown

So...in the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic the world is in a panic mode. However...I guess the pandemic situation in each house will be to control their kids (trust me....I know). Who knew that being in home could be this hard!!! Well...this blog is for the ones who love to read books or for the ones who want to give reading books a try or for the ones who want to expand their horizons on reading...if you belong into any one of these categories...you will be definitely be able to satisfy your book thirst.....for  I am going to name out some under-rated books (under-rated according to me since I never heard much of a buzz about these books) that you could definitely give a try and I promise you wont be disappointed. If you are a boy, I personally think the books mentioned in the 4th and 5th positions will become your favourites.

1.Jinx by Meg Cabot :


Of course...how will I even miss out on this! People who know me well will definitely know that this book means a lot to me! It is a magical young adult book with a simple but yet a great plot! When I mean magical I really do mean magical. Due to the craze over this book I have told this story to many of my friends and none of them were disappointed....so I do really feel that should definitely give it a try!

2. Mediator series by Meg Cabot :





This is yet another book of Meg Cabot that gives you a spine tingling feel with its spooky plot! And also be ready to be thrown over by the character Jesse of the story. The series has a feel-good ending that definitely satisfies the mediator fans! The book comes in two versions....but the stories are same...so don't worry....there are totally  seven awesome books in each. The seventh book 'Remembrance' however is available only in one format.

3. Avalon High by Meg Cabot :



This book by Meg Cabot will be a good treat for the ones who love myths and legends. If you have guessed by the name...then yes...it is a book based on the legend of King Arthur and...really, who doesn't love that legend though it has many confusing versions. This book is a good version of that legend of course....With lots of twists and turns...this book will definitely stay in your heart! Also there is a movie based on this book....but I highly I recommend the book rather than the movie since they don't share the same story.

4.The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare :



This book is an adventure book that takes you out into a whole new world (a world without Corona of course ). This book gives us a feeling that maybe what we really see in the world is not  all that wanders the streets of our neighbourhood...which though sound scary....pokes our curiosity enough to keep reading it. The first part of the book alone has been made into a movie.This is a series with six books each with its own twists and turns that makes it hard enough to put it down.

5.Divergent Series by Veronica Roth:


This trilogy series might not really come under the under-rated category but in my opinion I feel like the movie got more fans than the book. In fact I don't know how many of you know that the story of allegiant ( the third book  ) is totally different from the movie. I think those who enjoyed books and movies like hunger games and maze runner will definitely find the original story of the divergent series with many heart wrenching twists to be a book worth the read.

6.The princess diaries by Meg Cabot :


This is a fun yet a series that talks a lot about self actualisation that makes it just awesome! There are two Disney movies based on this series but trust me....the books have a way more cute plot! This book has a total of ELEVEN books...yeah....it is a huge number...but still each book is not that big. Initially, the book had 10 books but with an addition of the final book "The royal wedding" , it has turned into a massive eleven fun thoughtful book series. The series has a lot a editions with different titles...here is one complete set of one edition.

So....that's it for my list of under-rated YA novels that you can give a try during this lockdown. Let us not just waste our time during this lockdown and try to make some use of it.     Hi there,I am Sreesh. I read the blog and it's like a good booster during this quarantine period and gives u a good opinions on what to be done during this period.The novels are really good one and well suggested.
